Resort World Genting Closes Casino, Limits Operating Hours

Malaysia’s Resort World Genting Casino complex (pictured) has “temporarily closed” its casinos from today (Monday, May 24) until further notice due to the so-called movement control orders issued by the Malaysian government as a result of COVID-19 measures.

“Resort World Genting will limit its hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from May 25 to June 7, 2021,” according to a Monday notice on the casino property website operated by Genting Malaysia Bhd

“This applies to all hotels, food and beverage stores, shopping malls, retail stores and other facilities. Some of the services offered during this period may not be available,” it said.

“Casino will be temporarily closed from today until further notice,” he added

The resort’s World Genting complex resumed operations on Feb. 16 after being closed for more than three weeks.

On Saturday, the Malaysian government announced tighter restrictions on the country’s economic and social sectors under the movement control order “3.0.” Those restrictions, which take effect this week, include shorter business hours between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Malaysia’s daily number of new COVID-19 cases reached 6,509 on Monday, down from an all-time high of 6,976 the day before. 카지노사이트

In a statement on Monday, Resorts World Genting said it would “continue to fully comply with the strict standard operating procedures announced by the government.”
