Just recently, Empire City Casino announced the official date for this year’s operation of its annual legislative pace for local lawmakers. The highly anticipated race will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the casino’s adjacent Yongkus Raceway, where local senators and lawmakers can be seen competing for the crown of a friendly match.
Legislative pace is the annual running event of the yonkers raceway hosted by Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts and the New York Standard Bread Owners Association. In this race, local lawmakers hold the reins with a two-seater jog card with professional harness drivers. And each race involves going around the track’s half-mile oval twice.
New York State Senator Joseph P. Adabo Jr. said the annual event is a great way for legislators to come together and promote the need for harness racing. Mr Adabo, who is also chairman of the Senate Racing, Games and Betting Committee, is committed to ensuring that harness sports are properly presented and their needs are properly met.
J. Gary Pretlow, chairman of the New York State Congressional Race and Betting Committee, also shared a few words about the exciting race. He said he is now looking forward to participating in Yonkers Raceway’s annual legislative pace with fellow lawmakers. He is optimistic that it will be another memorable game run with tremendous fun and competitive spirit from all participants.
Empire City Casino is expected to announce its parliamentary lineup for the 2022 event in the coming days. Past participants, however, included representatives from both the Empire State Senate and the state legislature. Participation in the event is limited to representatives currently in elected office. Last year’s race was won by Congressman Joe DeStefano.
In addition, Yongkus Raceway announced on Saturday, October 15, 2022 that it will operate the popular $1 million MGM Yongkus International Trot. It will also host the $500,000 Aria Invitational Race, part of the 2022 tournament, and the $500,000 Robert Miekuna Invitational Race. This will be the track’s first international trot since 2019, before the unprecedented situation began. 슬롯사이트
A few days ago, Empire City Casino also announced that it would donate more than US$100,000 to a total of eight local nonprofit organizations. The money was raised through a community grant program funded by the casino’s staff and guests. The grant has been granted to organizations that provide important services in the company’s philanthropic areas and at the core of its employees.
Eight organizations are Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of New York, Yonkers Family YMCA, United Way of Westchester & Putnam, Greyston Foundation, VISION/Services for the blind and blind, Bronx Works, Westchester’s Guidance Center, Westchester. Each organization received a large amount of checks to fund its social-purpose activities.
